The Earth Futures Festival is actively seeking video submissions on the topic of geoscience within the themes Dynamic Earth, Earth Futures and Human Connection. Backed by UNESCO, this newly created festival aims to make geoscience more accessible and better understood.
Geoscience is critical in the study of climate change, in our ability to plan and build sustainable cities, to mitigate natural hazards and manage water, soil, mineral and energy resources, all of which are highly topical.
Submissions to the festival can range from 90 seconds to 90 minutes, and entrants will be assessed across a number of categories: professional filmmakers and production companies; professional geoscientists; primary and high school students; tertiary students; Indigenous and First Nations people and organisations; women in geoscience and the general community.
Submissions close May 15. Click here for more information
