Get behind these WIFTer Loading Docs hopefuls!

Get involved in the crowdfunding phase and support your fellow WIFT members to make important Aotearoa stories! We're pleased to see a number of WIFTers among the filmmakers selected for the Loading Docs 2022 Season 9 short documentary collection. 

Eight compelling ideas have been chosen for the collection. With the theme 'the power of emotion' driving this year’s films, you can expect stories tackling the battle for equality, guilt, mortality, breaking the cycle of addiction, mass psychogenic illness and the pursuit of the perfect physique. 

The WIFTers involved are:

Sophie Black, director Believing Is Seeing
With the help of Dr Robert Bartholomew this team explores the mysterious phenomenon of psychogenic illness to discover - can social media make us sick?

Each filmmaking team must now raise $3,500 through a Boosted crowdfunding campaign. Once the goal is achieved, funding will become available from Loading Docs, letting the teams push on to craft their film!
