This Festival has grown into the premiere women's film festival in the US, with an Oscar-style awards gala, important prizes, celebrity guests and competitive submission fees!
The City of Angels Women's Film Festival aims to empower and connect women and those identifying as female in the film industry, and showcase extraordinary films made by women around the world.
COAWFF accepts films that have been either directed, produced, edited, or include a cast driven by women. LGBTQ+ themed films and scripts are welcome as are experimental films of short and feature length, and students are encouraged to submit their work.
It's also an excellent festival to exchange ideas about the art and business of filmmaking, so with that in mind, mark your calendar for 9 Nov, 2023 when the organisers plan to host an international virtual panel with top filmmakers.
