A huge round of applause for the team behind New Zealand series Rūrangi, named the Best Short Form Series at the International Emmy Awards in New York.
The series was created by Oliver Page and Cole Meyers, who worked alongside director Max Currie and producers Craig Gainsborough, Melissa Nickerson and Tweedie Waititi on the project.
Rūrangi, which is both a television series and a feature film, tells the story of transgender activist Caz Davis, who returns to his small hometown in an attempt to rebuild his relationship with his father who hasn't heard from him since before transitioning.
The Rurangi feature film has previously won awards at film festivals in San Francisco, Madrid and Melbourne.
