After a successful release at this year's NZIFF and an international premiere at the Inside Out Toronto 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival, the Lula Cucchiara-directed documentary Fiona Clark: Unafraid, is now available to rent across digital platforms.
The feature documentary recounts how New Zealand photographer Fiona Clark overcame censorship, homophobia, sexism and debilitating physical injuries to become one of our most respected social documentarians.
When Clark, a young queer photographer exhibited her photography of the LGBTQI community in 1975, she and her friends faced the systemic backlash of an oppressive New Zealand society.
Unafraid, Fiona gave the middle finger to the patriarchy and we discover how her documentation and contribution to the community has helped transform New Zealand society.
Produced by Lula Cucchiara, Siobhan Price and Matt Noonan.
Only available in New Zealand.
