The New Zealand Cinematographers Society NZCS held its 2021 Awards last week (having had to postpone them due to Covid-19 restrictions). It was a virtual event and we applaud them for a smooth ceremony!
A big congratulations to WIFT member Mark Lapwood who received NZCS accreditation, the highest peer recognition of a cinematographer's consistent world-class work, and to Wes Printz who received the Turtz Award for Contribution to Cinematography for his behind-the-scenes work as a camera technician. Printz arrived in Aotearoa from Hollywood almost 20 years ago and has been here ever since!
A round of applause goes to Victoria Evans who received a Gold in the News and Current Affairs category.
