encounter, and touches on the enigma of life that revolves around desire and the game of chance.
Directed by Oscar winner Ryusuke Hamaguchi (Drive My Car), Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy won the Silver Bear at the 2021 Berlinale.
The Guardian called it, "Ingenious, playful, sparklingly acted and thoroughly entertaining". The Hollywood Reporter said, "Hamaguchi writes forensically flawed female characters with empathy and unsentimental honesty".
Screening in New Zealand cinemas on June 9.
