Documentary maker Rachel Gordon, a member of Women in Film in Toronto and Washington, DC, has a goal: to standardise documentary distribution education to prepare filmmakers for the future. Her book, The Documentary Distribution Toolkit - Teaching Distribution Basics, is a comprehensive global how-to reference guide, providing insights into the landscape of documentary distribution; targeting the right audiences to expand the reach of your documentary; and building a sustainable career.
Rachel interviewed producers and industry professionals from around the world to write the globally-focused how-to reference guide. She has worked as a script reader, director and producer, but is now focused on promoting distribution education.
