An aspiring TV writer must weigh her future in the film industry against an abhorrent request...don't panic, this short film is not based on real life (we hope!), but instead explores important themes surrounding the price of ambition and the lengths to which people are willing to go to achieve their goals.
Produced by Bianca Delalic and directed by Lisa Shaw, Good Sport follows Natalie Davis, a writer's assistant on a television show who has always dreamed of becoming a writer. After several years of disappointment, Natalie starts to give up hope, until one day, the Producer offers her a chance to become a writer. The catch? She has to kill the lead actress.
In making this film, Bianca and Lisa say they are "committed to using a satirical lens to highlight the sometimes absurd and toxic work culture that often pervades not only the entertainment industry, but many other highly competitive work environments".
