What fantastic news for Roseanne Liang who has been slated to direct Maude vs Maude, what Vogue.com is calling a "globetrotting thriller". Oscar-winning actresses Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie will also produce, while Liang and the film's scriptwriter Scott Mosier (Clerks) will co-executive produce. Deadline reports that the film was the subject of an intense, multi-studio bidding war and was ultimately snapped up by Warner Brothers.
Liang's first foray into Hollywood was the 2020 feature Shadow in the Cloud starring Chloe Grace Moretz. She's also the co-creator, director, and co-writer of the acclaimed dystopian comedy series Creamerie.
