Join them online: Melbourne Women in Film Festival 2023 discussion panels

You're invited to two online panel discussions at the Melbourne Women in Film Festival 2023. The first, Making An Impact, is FREE, and the second, Global Connections, features WIFT NZ member Kerry Warkia and Nahyeon Lee and will be livestreamed and available for audiences outside Australia. 

Running from 23-27 February at ACMI and online the Festival showcases the best Australian, Aotearoa New Zealand and Pasifika women's and gender diverse filmmaking. This year's theme is Connections, exploring local and global creativity, collaboration and community.

Storytelling is a great way to make a difference, from inspiring docos to thought-provoking dramas. But how do screen creators inspire real-world change? Join MWFF’s panel of experts as they share tips for storytelling with impact: how to reach an audience, share a message, and make change through your film and screen project.

Global Connections Panel: Collaborating, Storytelling and Networking Overseas

Featuring producer Kerry Warkia and writer/director Nahyeon Lee. 
Film festivals, distributors, critics campuses and mentors—there are many to develop your screen career overseas. International co-productions and remote collaborations also offer exciting pathways for global storytelling. In this special MWFF event, a panel of experts share their advice on working and networking outside of Australia, whether it be touring the international festival circuit, attending talent incubators, or telling transnational stories. They'll discuss how to make the most of opportunities outside of Australia, and what to expect when going global.
