Talent times two: Foster forms new creative collaboration

There must be something entrepreneurial in the water some WIFT members are drinking! Media industry magazine mad-daily.com reports that WIFT member Belinda Foster, formerly of B&M Creative Artists, and Tanya Horo (Taranaki iwi) of TMH Management have teamed up to create Collaborate Management.

The collaboration follows the formation of Ahi, a new independent film distribution company announced in December backed by a collective of like-minded industry professionals, including Courtney Mayhew, and Academy Award-nominated producer Chelsea Winstanley.

Foster, a talent agent for more than 20 years, founded B&M Creative Artists in 2010 and has represented some of Aotearoa’s finest practitioners in the fields of acting, speaking, writing and culinary talent.

Horo, who is an established actor, singer and writer, founded THM in 2015.

The two businesswomen have known each other since 1999 when Foster was representing Horo, and nutted out the collab idea during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Collaborate represents a wide range of creatives, including Vanessa Rare, Poroaki Merritt McDonald, and Semu Filipo – and culinary stars Simon Gault and Chelsea Winter.
