Get caught up in the Webfest 2023!

Earlybird submissions are due by 31 March, so get cracking on yours today! NZWebfest accepts short films, animated shorts, podcasts, webseries and music videos. This big little festival has been running since 2015, and two WIFTies won gongs last year - Michelle Ang and Julie Zhu who jointly won Best Director NZ - Factual.

This year the Festival has increased the number of awards in the web series categories to better reward the technical skills which make the shows so enjoyable.

It has also become a participant in the inaugural edition of the Audio Fiction World Cup which includes including Narrative Fiction Podcasts, Standalone Audio Projects, and Actual Play podcasts.

NZ Webfest offers fee discounts to Alum Award winners, and to the submitters of shows from its most-recent edition. Submit this year and you’ll get a discount next year!
