Get those tickets while you can! The 10th Māoriland Film Festival runs from 15-19 March, and the ten-year anniversary coincides with the festival becoming the largest international Indigenous film festival in the world.
Tickets are also on sale for the Festival's special events. This year’s keynote speaker will be WIFT NZ Board member and Māoriland Film Festival Director, Libby Hakaraia, at Rangiātea Church at 5:30 on Wednesday 15 March. The Māoriland Keynote address is a personal and historical perspective given by a prominent Māori filmmaker.
At the other end of the Festival, the Modern Māori Quartet will help celebrate the filmmakers and their collaborators at the annual Māoriland Red Carpet Party on Sunday 19 March. Get ready to take a musical ride through the MMQ’s ’80s mixtape’.
