New Directions – 20 years of young cinema from Germany

The Goethe-Institut presents 20 select films that look back at the past 20 years of new German filmmaking. On display is the cinema of a generation that is not afraid to experiment and challenges the film world with new perspectives. The films will be online on Goethe on Demand — New Directions - Home.
Register and watch the films for free from anywhere in Aoteaora-New Zealand, online until 19 April 2023.

Four films of the VoD-programme will be screening in cinema, so come, bring a friend and enjoy an evening with a German film on the big screen. The four film screenings are all first feature films by women directors who bring a unique, new way of storytelling and filmmaking to the screen.
