Ka rawe! Producers Eva Trebilco and Matt Noonan's psychological thriller/black comedy The Televangelist will feature at Cannes Marché du Film’s prestigious Fantastic 7 finance market this May. Eva will take the floor and present the pitch (her first ever market pitch) with director Tom Levesque.
Fantastic 7, now in its fifth year, showcases seven upcoming projects from the global genre industry, presented by seven different film festivals, to an international film industry network during the Cannes Film Festival, enabling its participating filmmakers to pitch to distributors, investors, and production representatives.
The Televangelist is a New Zealand/Canada co-production. When internet televangelist Hendrick Powell believes a rival cyber preacher is behind his dwindling social media enterprise, he sets out on a journey of theatrics and blackmail to reclaim his online followers whatever the cost.
