Applications are now open for the Write Room 2024 Wellington screenwriting residency. The successful writer will receive a grant of $9,750 to complete a draft of their screenplay, 12 weeks of free office space at Toi Pōneke Art Centre from March-June 2024 and development support from the Write Room mentor team.
This opportunity is for a Wellington-based screenwriter hailing from film, television, webseries, theatre, radio, journalism or other literary backgrounds, with a feature film project at a stage that will benefit from focused development towards completion of a draft of the script. You do not need a completed script to apply. Hours are flexible and can sit alongside other work.
