We extend a big congratulations to WIFT member Nicola van der Meijden for her appointment to the newly created Content Director role who will oversee our local and international entertainment content and operations.
TVNZ shared in their latest newsletter:
"Last month we brought TVNZ’s News and Content divisions together to form a combined business unit. Bringing our production capability into one area means we can better leverage the expertise we have across the business. We’re also keen to find new ways to work together to deliver more for our audiences across TVNZ 1, 2, DUKE and TVNZ+.
As a result of this decision, we’ve created a new Executive role to oversee the team, Chief News and Content Officer. This role will be advertised when we return from the Christmas break, and we’ll keep you updated on this process.
We’ve also created several new general manager and director roles to report into TVNZ’s Executive team to manage and support our News and Content kaimahi.
These roles are being appointed at the moment."
