Toi Mai Board

Toi Mai, the Workforce Development Council (WDC) that represents the creative, cultural, recreation and technology sectors are seeking to appoint board members. They are an important part of the vocational education system, ensuring industry has a stronger voice in making the Aotearoa workforce fit for today and for the future. They play a leading role in ensuring learners develop the skills they need to be ready for the world of work.

They are seeking to appoint board members who are leaders in diverse industries, either from an employer or employee/union perspective. A commitment to  te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential, as is significant governance experience, excellent communication skills and a commitment to their kaupapa. 

This is an opportunity to make a real impact and provide true leadership as part of the vocational education system. Full-day board meetings are approximately 6-weekly, with other meetings as required. They are seeking to appoint six board members who can add to the great work already undertaken. Some of their board members whose terms are expiring are intending to re-stand.
