The Day One New Filmmaker Awards 2024 are now open for nominations, and they’re inviting the screen industry to help celebrate New Zealand’s emerging talent. If you know any promising filmmakers under 30, they’d love for you to nominate or share this opportunity with your networks!
The awards highlight young creatives with outstanding potential in three categories:
- The Spirit Award – celebrating young leaders with a can-do, innovative attitude.
- The Vision Award – for creative storytellers with fresh, unique perspectives.
- The Craft Award – recognizing dedicated technicians passionate about filmmaking.
The focus is on recognizing emerging talent rather than completed work, so nominees don’t need a finished film! Simply share why you think they stand out by submitting a brief nomination before November 15th.
