C21 have announced the finalists for the 2024 Content London Drama Series Pitch. From over 100 submissions, eight projects have been invited to pitch live at Content London, and one of the selected projects is from Luminous Beast, an innovative screen production company from Auckland, Aotearoa, by three of New Zealand’s most in demand screen creatives, one of whom is WIFT member, Shoshana McCallum!
On Tuesday 3 December at 11am finalists will pitch live at Content London, and the winning project, selected by an esteemed panel of judges will be announced the same evening from 6pm. The winner will receive a £30,000 marketing prize from C21 Media to support development and pre-sales promotion of their show.
The project Luminous Beast is pitching is Good Bones.
When his pregnant wife, Meghan, challenges him to step up to the responsibility of fatherhood, incurable procrastinator Sal decides to do the sensible thing: cash in his Lord of the Rings figurine collection, take out a barely serviceable loan, and buy the most derelict villa in Auckland.
Good Bones follows a fully-grown man in a coming-of-age story, racing to solve a crime, and get the new roof on, in time to save his marriage.
