Since its launch a year ago, Greenlit has become a major force in guiding Aotearoa New Zealand’s screen industry toward sustainability! To date, Greenlit has supported 55 productions, equipping them with the tools to reduce carbon footprints and adopt eco-friendly practices. With 15 sustainability managers - now regularly engaged on productions, most of whom are wāhine, the industry is making long-term sustainability a priority. By providing free accessible tools and resources, Greenlit is empowering productions to reduce their environmental impact, making sustainable practices an achievable standard in film and TV. This milestone reflects a bright future for greener, more responsible screen production across Aotearoa!
