Put the kettle on for a poignant tale about tree stumps, family, and dynamite!
Writer/director Elinor Teele’s short film Pulling Up Stumps, produced by Emma Martini of FrameUpMedia and Phillida Perry of Perrys Road/Daughter, has been released online and is free to watch. That’s three WIFT NZ members at the head of a project!
Starring Ian Mune and Mark Mitchinson, with cinematography by Alun Bollinger (AlBol), Pulling Up Stumps shows what can happen when an Otago farmer performs a small act of kindness for an old man. One viewer called it: “Hope, despair and joy all wrapped up in a few frames. This is storytelling.”
