Members Vanessa Patea and Ruth Korver are producing Season 2 of Life in the FFN with Awa Films.
After a successful first season, Awa Films is excited to announce a casting call for the second season of "Life in the FFN," set to air on Whakaata Māori. This vibrant series highlights the unique and dynamic characters residing on the northernmost tip of Aotearoa, showcasing their strong connections to their communities, whānau, and the joy of living life on their own terms.
The application deadline is the 25th October and people can apply by visiting the casting page on the AWA Films website - https://www.awa.co.nz/casting
They are seeking participants who:
- Currently live in and have whakapapa to the Muriwhenua region.
- Are fluent in te reo Māori.
- Are actively involved in their local community.
- Hold a role in a local event.
- Have a passion for their pursuits.
- Are musicians or creatives.
- Participate in sports.
- Work in professions that would be compelling on camera.
- Have friends and whānau interested in joining.
- Are part of a Kapa Haka group.
- Are teachers or coaches.
- Are engaged in ambitious projects.

- Introduce yourself and any friends or whānau who would feature in your episode.
- What are your favourite places in the FFN? Where do you spend your time?
- What is your mahi? How do you spend your days?
- Do you have any interesting hobbies or passions? How do these activities manifest in the FFN
- What do you love about living in the Far Far North?
