Léah McVeagh wrote & directed a music video for NZ On Air funded artist, Sabreen, which came out last week! Among the team was Joey Leung as Camera / VF Assist and Props Assist, and Rachel Sung as Gaffer.
The song is based on the true tale of a Chinese immigrant who was killed by a white supremacist in 1905 Wellington. Léah shared, “the song really captured my heart. I wanted to give the story some screen time, so that he would not be forgotten.”
The team had a positive experience on set, with a predominantly female team! Check out their beautifully put together behind the scenes video showing their incredible wāhine team in technical roles.
