NZ on Air have produced guidance on how they will assess funding applications that propose the use of AI or GenAI in the creation of screen and music content.
This guidance is not intended to regulate AI use across the entire industry or to enforce rights management. Those responsibilities fall outside NZ On Air’s role as a funding agency. Instead, their focus is on how AI may be used within the scope of publicly funded content and how it aligns with our values and objectives.
Due to the very fast advancements in AI, this guidance is a living document. It will be updated as and when it needs to be.
