Are you a director seeking to deepen your ability to guide actors into truth, emotional depth, and expressive range?
With experience on both sides of the camera, Nina Reed, offers coaching support for directors looking to strengthen their skills in working with actors — helping bring out authentic, emotionally rich performances that serve the heart of the story.
Nina is skilled in supporting actors to access their full expressive range and unlock the emotional truth living within. She is passionate about ensuring actors feel well-supported in their process — creating a container where vulnerability and courage can bring forward the best work for the story.
In her early-twenties, after training as an actor and producer — and yearning to explore directing — Nina had the opportunity to train with renowned director's coach Mark W. Travis in LA. This immersive training laid the foundation for her work as a director and acting coach. Upon returning to Canada, she wrote and directed her debut feature film, Nervous Poo, which was selected for the CBC Short Film Face Off, a televised program showcasing the best short films across Canada. Currently, Nina teaches the Actor’s Toolbox Program at TAPAC Theatre for adult actors. Nina has witnessed profound transformations in her students' emotional truth, expressive range, and confidence as performers.
