DEGANZ and Film Otago Southland welcomes emerging filmmakers based in Tāhuna Queenstown to this Director's Toolkit taught by director Josh Frizzell.
Across the weekend, Josh will delve into his experience and insights into directing fast turnaround television, with specific reference to the TV show Friends Like Her (set and shot in Kaikoura) and the Queenstown-made show A Remarkable Place to Die. He'll discuss and workshop the process from breaking down the script, to working with actors and how to block a scene. Josh will also discuss the unique benefits and challenges of shooting on location in a place like Queenstown.
Participants will gain insights and put into practice the process and craft of directing and leave the workshop with new practical skills in their kete/toolkit!
