WIFT filmmakers Joyce Wong & Mia Maramara are launching a one-off crowdfunding campaign to finish financing their short film ‘Homestay’. Supported by the NZFC He Kauahi Catalyst, they are looking to raise our gap financing to get their project to the best quality it can be.
'Homestay' is a gripping Filipino short film illuminating the sobering realities many Filipino migrants face in New Zealand and abroad, the film tells the story of a nurse navigating the pressures of immigration, sacrifice and the insidious exploitation that goes unspoken.
