In this final term, the culmination of our journey through 2025, we will step into The Art of Transformation.
Stop playing your self-portrait. The actor’s job is to create a character every time and you need to know HOW.
This term teaches a clear, step-by-step process to transform using Michael Chekhov’s tools: Psychological Gesture (PG), Archetype, and Atmosphere.
You will;
- learn how to work with casting briefs and a character breakdown,
- create a background story for your character with specifics,
- explore multiple pathways into embodiment of your character,
- expand your emotional range, and
- deepen your connection to the role.

This term, we are privileged to welcome acclaimed writer and director Stephen Sinclair - co-writer of The Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers and one of New Zealand’s most respected creative voices.
Stephen will write and directed original short films exclusive for 8 selected actors on Friday nights.. The rare opportunity gives you the chance to be guided by a master storyteller and see your work brought to life on screen
