And happy new year to you all! Team Boosted is officially back on the tools from today onwards and here to support your crowdfunding needs and our first task is to bring our fellow creatives back up to speed on Boosted X Moana and E Tū Toi 2026.
We are deeply grateful and pleased to confirm that, thanks to the continued partnership and support of Creative New Zealand’s Pacific Strategy team and Māori Strategy & Partnerships team, both programs have been confirmed for delivery in 2026.
Boosted X Moana and E Tū Toi will continue to provide targeted match funding and mentoring support for Pasifika and Māori creatives to bring their creative kaupapa to life in 2026.
Below you’ll find key information for both initiatives, including registration timelines, match funding offerings, eligibility criteria, and key campaign dates.
E Tū Toi 2026
E Tū Toi is Boosted’s Māori match-funding initiative, focused on providing funding opportunities to ringatoi Māori across Aotearoa.
Following the successful pilot program in 2025, E Tū Toi supported 14 Māori creative kaupapa, with $50,000 in match funding allocated across selected projects.
In 2026, we are significantly increasing this offering. E Tū Toi will support 21 Māori-led creative kaupapa, with a total of $94,000 in match funding available across the program.
Match Funding Breakdown
- 10 × $3,000 match funds
- 8 × $5,000 match funds
- 3 × $8,000 match funds
Eligibiity
To be eligible for E Tū Toi, applicants must be a Māori creative, collective, or organization seeking to fund a creative kaupapa.
Please note:
- Projects are not eligible if they have received Creative New Zealand funding or intend to apply for Creative New Zealand funding in 2026 for this kaupapa.
- If selected, project owners must be willing to run a Boosted crowdfunding campaign on the dates set by Boosted.

BOOSTED X MOANA 2026
After another successful year delivering four funding cohorts, supporting 46 Pasifika projects, and offering $140,000 in match funding, Boosted X Moana will return in 2026 with an updated structure.
In 2026, Boosted X Moana will offer $150,000 in match funding across two funding cohorts, with the goal of supporting 18 Pasifika-led projects that are seeking to raise $5,000 or more.
While there are fewer overall project slots, this shift reflects our goal to support Pasifika creatives to pursue larger-scale fundraising targets and higher-value outcomes.
Match Funding per Cohort
Each cohort will support 9 projects, with match funding allocated as follows:
- 5 × $5,000 match funds
- 3 × $10,000 match funds
- 1 × $20,000 match fund
Eligibility
To be eligible for Boosted X Moana, applicants must be a Pasifika creative, collective, or organization with a strong Pasifika kaupapa.In 2026, we are particularly interested in supporting projects that are looking to travel internationally to showcase their creative kaupapa.
