KAHURANGI TOI ĀTEA: Applications Now Open

Screen Industry training specialists, SHARE THE KNOWLEDGE and leading educational provider in Māori Performing Arts, TE WĀNANGA WHARE TAPERE O TAKITIMU, in partnership with INDUSTRY SCREEN TRAINING BOARD and with support from NZ on AIR and NETFLIX, have designed an industry-led screen industry skills programme for below the line crew – KAHURANGI TOI ĀTEA (KTA).

KTA will be offering 6 courses in 2026. For more detailed information, please click on the link below:

All participants must be able to attend both the online 'Introduction to Screen' module (21 - 25 September) and the Classroom Learning (27 September to 4 October) in Auckland.

For each course up to 8 participants will be involved ensuring a diverse selection across all regions. KTA can work with each individual to understand their needs for participation, and some funding is available to support travel and accommodation for those who require it. If participants have access to accommodation with whānau or friends in Auckland this would greatly assist in supporting the programme costs.

KTA is working with NZ On Air to identify the first two productions to attach participants to complete their work placement. Once these are announced, details will be shared about the productions with potential participants.

All participants must apply online HERE and attend a brief interview before being accepted into the programme.
