Year in Review 2024-2025
Each year NZ On Air is required to report to Parliament on their activities and achievements as a crown entity. This is done through their Annual Report.
This year, with new instructions from Government, the Annual Report is a very simple word document. But because they are a cultural entity, responsible for supporting a range of vibrant media content, they wanted to create something more easily digestible and celebratory for industry stakeholders and public.
Their new web feature Our Year in Review 2024-25 is a place where you can explore the data and the stories behind another successful year of NZ On Air funding. They've assembled this to showcase the awesome content created and initiatives undertaken, and to celebrate the content creators who are telling New Zealand’s stories and entertaining us with songs and games. They want to thank the many creators, studios and broadcast platforms who responded to requests for their input to this feature, and who created content New Zealand audiences have enjoyed this past year.
Please note that while it uses key data from their actual Annual Report, this web feature is not the official audited Annual Report. That will be published on their website once it has been tabled in Parliament, which is expected soon.
