On 1 July, the NZFC, NZ On Air, and Te Māngai Pāho are launching Te Pae Matarau - The Everyone Project Aotearoa. This is a survey tool that measures demographics in the screen sector.
New Zealand does not currently collect consistent, screen workforce data across roles and productions. Te Pae Matarau fills this gap, enabling a clearer picture of who is working in the sector. Over time, this will help identify workforce trends, supporting more targeted investment in training, capability-building and workforce development initiatives.
For all the information on this new tool, and for those of you attending the Big Screen Symposium this week, they will be presenting on Te Pae Matarau alongside NZ On Air and Te Māngai Pāho on Friday 3 July.
You're nvited you to head along to this session and find out more about the tool, how it works and how it will enhance our understanding of the screen sector in Aotearoa.
