SCREEN ACCELERATOR PROJECT 2026 UNSCRIPTED with WIFT member Jon Kroll is back for the 5th year!
The Screen Accelerator Project aims to help bring productions into New Zealand, create opportunities and build international connections.
The Emmy-award winning Hollywood producer will work with producers to develop their idea(s) for unscripted content – specifically documentaries, docu-drama series or formatted TV shows so they can pitch to genuine global buyers.
The project is a 6-week programme consisting of one in-person workshop in Wellington (2 days), followed by 5 weeks of online mentoring from Jon and the team from Tall Poppy Films.
Registrations opened: Wednesday 4th March
Registrations close: Monday 30th March
Workshop Dates: Friday 1st May and Saturday 2nd May
Workshop Venue: Yoobee College of Creative Innovation, Wellington Railway Station, 2 Bunny St, Te Whanganui-a-Tara
Cost: Free-of-charge with kai provided (participants will need to cover their own travel & accommodation costs)
Online Pitching: Wednesday 17th June
Who can apply: Screen producers, emergent through to seasoned professionals, from across Aotearoa New Zealand
