Award-winning WIFT NZ filmmaker Pietra Brettkelly's new film Crocodile will be showing at the upcoming Sydney Film Festival.
Crocodile exploded onto the world stage with its World Premiere In Competition at the Berlinale International Film Festival with all four screenings selling out in just 15 minutes.
The premiere sparked standing ovations, packed press days, and even dancing in the snow for Pietra, Executive Producer Chelsea Winstanley, and the unforgettable co-directors and subjects of the film: The Critics.
“Brettkelly manages to transmit their infectious bravado and growing success … offering a reading of their sci-fi obsession as an escapist search for solace.” Filmmaker Magazine.
“It’s hard to imagine a new documentary credited to Pietra Brettkelly could be more inspiring.” Arapagon blog, France
Momentum continues to build for the film. Crocodile will make its North American Premiere In Competition at the Tribeca Festival in New York this June and has already taken home Best Documentary on Art and Music at Docs Against Gravity in Warsaw, Poland.
