The Embodied Actor: Presence Intensive & Audition Preparation
Join the Actors Studio for a transformative weekend of training designed to deepen your presence, imagination, and character embodiment.
Attend one day or experience the full weekend intensive at the discounted rate of $220.
28th March 10am-1pm Meditation & Presence.
A grounded Michael Chekhov–inspired session focusing on inner preparation, imagination, and stage presence.
This session helps actors connect more deeply with their creative impulses and develop a strong, authentic presence.
29th March 10 am -1pm- Audition preparation.
Practical tools - embodiment of the character that moves beyond performance into transformation using M. Chekhov tools.
In this session you will:
- Learn how to work with casting brief and character breakdown
- Create a background story with specifics
- Explore multiple pathways into embodiment of your character
- Expand your emotional range and deepen your connection to the role.
TERM TWO CLASS for all levels
EMBODIMENT OF THE CHARACTER through M. CHEKHOV TECHNIQUE.
Each term concludes with recording sessions alongside a Casting Director — an opportunity for actors to showcase their growth and talent.
A highlight of each term is Thursday Short Film class, where you will shoot original short film during class.
The Friday Self-Test Class focuses on improvisation and on-camera practice, sharpening your skills through fast-paced work with TV commercial and drama scripts.
Term TWO runs for 7 weeks, commencing 6TH APRIL
The programme is tailored to suit all levels of experience:
- Monday – Beginners | 6.30–9.30pm | Starts 6th April
- Tuesday – Intermediate | 6.30–9.30pm | Starts 7th April
- Tuesday – Daytime | 12.30–2.30pm | Starts 7th April
- Wednesday – Advanced | 6.30–9.30pm | Starts 8th April
- Thursday – Short Film Class | 6.30–9.30pm | Starts 9th April
- Friday – Self-Test Class | 6.30–9.30pm | Starts 10th April
- Friday – Online Class | 4.00–6.00pm | Starts 10th April
The fee per term is $695. The daytime class is $495 and online class is $465 (including GST). Places are limited.
