“Guidelines for the Sexism-Free and Gender-Sensitive Use of AI in the Film and Media Industries”
As the Venice Berlinale approaches, organisers are very much looking forward to welcoming attendees to Berlin for the global forum for women film organizations @berlinale 2026.
This year will build upon the forum’s previous work on AI and sexism, with important next steps. They will present and discuss Power to Transform's newly developed guidelines for the sexism-free and gender-sensitive use of AI in the film and media industries.
The mission will be to raise awareness of how AI can reproduce discriminatory patterns and stereotypes in representations, while also highlighting constructive and responsible ways of working with AI in creative practice, production processes, and organizational decision-making.
The guidelines bring together international expert knowledge and perspectives, and provide a practical toolkit, clear recommendations for action, and hands-on checklists to support filmmakers, stakeholders, organizations, and companies.
After the public event there will also be a networking reception.
