WētāFX is cutting a swathe through the international awards season for their stunning work on James Cameron's Avatar: Fire & Ash, winning yet another BAFTA for their Wellington trophy cabinet
They took home this year's BAFTA at the weekend for Best VFX on the latest Avatar, following on from their win at the Critics Choice and Chicago Critics Awards in January.
They are not the only kiwis enjoying the winners podium. New Zealand costume designer Kate Hawley has just won her first BAFTA for her stunning work on Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.
In December the British Fashion Council named the New Zealander as its inaugural Costume Designer of the Year, and she also won the Critics Choice and the Chicago Critics Award for Costume Design along with the Costume Designers Guild Award.
Both WētaFX and Hawley certainly appear in very good stead to take home a prestigious Oscar come March 16th!
