The New Zealand Cinematographers Society (NZCS) held their annual 2025 NZCS Cinematography Awards at the Pullman Hotel, celebrating the outstanding work of cinematographers across film, television, and digital media.
This year, 240 entries were submitted across a wide range of categories, each judged independently by a panel of experienced industry professionals.
There were several brilliant WIFT winners on the night, a black tie event hosted by your new WIFT E-News Editor Kate Rodger (dream gig ;)) who was SO damn stoked to see these gifted wāhine take the stage! To see these women honoured for their world-class work in what still remains a very male-dominated sector of the filmmaking community was a real privilege.
WIFT legend and board member Sally Campbell joined Kate on stage to present the first swathe of awards, the NZCS making special mention of the "Women in Camera Showcase", a collaboration between the NZCS and WIFT NZ celebrating female and gender-diverse talent making waves in the industry.
So, without further ado, here are our WIFT WINNERS!
