The was created by Natalie Medlock and Harry McNaughton, and co-produced by Jo Raj with Harry under his Koha production company. Jo says The Pact was filmed earlier this year with delays caused by the challenging Auckland lockdown. "We’re very proud that our lead cast member Irene Wood is a woman in her 70s, something sadly not seen very often in network drama. Irene told us she felt it was the best work she had done in her entire career."
